Alcoholics Anonymous
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s addicted.
There is an AA Chapter meeting at St. Paul’s. We place a great deal of importance on the confidentiality of when and where it meets and who comes.
Please contact aa@stpaulsatlanta.com for more information.
Campus Outreach
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s college students.
Campus Outreach is a ministry to college students of Atlanta. Our vision is to “glorify God by building laborers on the campus for the lost world.” Our focus is to reach those on the college campus who do not know Christ and to disciple young Christians as they grow in their faith. Sunday night he group meets at church. Meetings are held on campus three times a month on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm. Various Bible studies meet weekly as well.

Children’s Ministry
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s children.
The purpose of the Children’s Ministry at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church is more than just giving the children “something” to do, or “somewhere” to be on Sunday morning, while their parents participate in meaningful worship and study. All of our programs for children at St. Paul’s are designed with one goal in mind: to make the glory of the Lord known to the next generation, so that they would set their hope in God. (Psalm 78). For more information, view our Children’s Ministry page.

Elderly Ministry
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta.
Westminster Commons is a nursing home located at 560 Saint Charles Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30308, which is just down the street from St. Paul’s. This on-going ministry to the residents at Westminster Commons includes playing bingo, music, and visiting with them on the last Saturday of every month. Those who would like to write notes or adopt a resident will also find other ways to get involved. All are welcome!

Mercy Ministry
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s needy.
When asked “Who is my neighbor?”, Jesus told the story of a neighbor in need outside on a road. St. Paul’s Street Care Ministry is helping our neighbors on the “roads”, or rather, streets, of Midtown. Our neighbors are the homeless and others who face very serious life issues that will be conquered by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We enthusiastically participate in this mission of God by combining the ministries of action and Word with our brothers and sisters. First and foremost, our worship services are open to all people. Those on the streets are joyfully welcomed to participate in our worship activities, side-by-side with us. Other developing programs for volunteer participation include:
- Praying for those on the street and those ministering on the streets
- Building relationships while serving breakfast on Sunday mornings with a monthly rotation team
- Organizing and giving “gift” kits: toiletries and basic clothing items
- Finding other community development ministries for potential partnership (food banks, clothing closets, etc.)

Missions Committee
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta and beyond.
In response to God’s calling, and beginning at home, the St. Paul’s Missions Team works to cultivate partnerships in gospel ministry that move our body to make the glory of Christ known to the nations.
Since its inception, the Missions Committee has worked to mobilize St. Paul’s members to participate in the great commission at home and abroad. Initially, this began by providing a foundation for which our home ministries were given an opportunity to both form and expand in their roles. Our focus then broadened to include partnerships with cross-cultural missionaries, with special interest on connections which were already present within our community.
More recently, following our merger with Crossroads Church Atlanta, we have tripled our partnerships to include parts of India, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Central America in addition to our support for Atlanta-based church planting efforts and college campus ministries. Over the next several years, we plan to increase our dedication, with a goal of committing half of our members and half of our budget to worldwide missions for God’s glory, our joy, and the salvation of the nations.

Sacred Harp Singing
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta.
Sacred Harp singing is one of the earliest forms of American music: raw, unadorned a cappella “shape-note” hymn-singing with haunting tunes and uncompromising lyrics. At St.Paul’s, we have an informal singing out of the Sacred Harp hymnal every 1st, 3rd, and sometimes 5th Wednesday starting at 6:30. All are welcome / no experience is necessary. We periodically have “mini singing schools” to catch newer singers up to speed. Sacred Harp singing is perfect for those who would like to sing with others, but feel uncomfortable singing with others. As one of the old tune books put it, it’s “simple music for simple people”.
Please see the video below about Sacred Harp Singing, which features singing at St. Paul’s…
Here is the movie trailer for “Awake my Soul: The Story of the Sacred Harp.”

Setup Team
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta.
The Set-up/Lock-up team basically makes the church building a safe, comfortable place to worship on Sunday mornings. Four volunteers are scheduled for each Sunday. Two set-up volunteers (who attend the early service) arrive at 8:00 to unlock doors, turn on lights, set up chairs, prepare communion, clean the stairwells, set out signs, etc. Two lock-up volunteers (who attend the late service) stay after the service until about 1:15 to pick up trash, clean up communion, turn off lights, make sure there are no visitors still in the building, and lock up all the doors. Each volunteer has about 45 minutes worth of work to do altogether and serves once every 4-6 weeks. Set-up/Lock-up volunteers have the opportunity to share Christ’s love through some behind-the-scenes dirty work as they get to know others in the church through serving.

Singles Ministry
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s Singles.
The singles ministry exists to create a community of believers which comes alongside one another, in order to work with each other for our joy (2 Cor. 1:24) in Jesus above all things, so that we would treasure that which is most worthy of being treasured, Christ. If you’re single (no matter what age) please come join us; we would love to have you. We meet throughout the week for trivia, sushi, etc. and on every 2nd Wednesday of the month in a large group for worship.

Transgender Ministries
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s transgender population.
The vision of the Transgender Ministry is to “Glorify God through the privilege of loving and serving the transgender community of midtown Atlanta.” We meet Friday nights at 7:00 at the church, inviting our transgender friends off the street in for a night of friendship, community, food, and prayer. All are welcome to participate: attending Friday night meetings or in prayer for this ministry!

Youth Group | 6-12th Graders
That the glory of God would be the glory of Atlanta’s youth.
St. Paul’s now has a youth group for the first time ever! We are very excited to have this opportunity to invest in the lives of our 6th grade to 12th grade youth. We seek to provide a Sunday school type atmoshpere in that we will be diving into The Word each week to find truth and help our teens apply it to their individual lives. We also have a short time of worship through song and a small group time following the lesson to encourage further discussion and application. Even if you do not have children in this age bracket, please join with us in prayer as we seek God’s will in this brand new ministry.
